Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using supportsplit.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Support Split LLC ("we," "us," "our") reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
What this service provides
SupportSplit provides a free online calculator that estimates California guideline child support under Family Code §4055. The calculator uses publicly available tax brackets and the statutory formula to produce estimates for informational and planning purposes only.
Not legal advice
The Service does not provide legal, tax, financial, or accounting advice. Results are estimates based on simplified inputs and may differ from Judicial Council-approved calculators. The Service is not a Judicial Council-approved calculator and should not be used for court filings or as a substitute for professional legal counsel.
You should consult a licensed California family law attorney for advice specific to your situation.
Not a court-approved calculator
SupportSplit is not certified, endorsed, or approved by the California Judicial Council, any California court, or any government agency. The guideline child support formula (FC §4055) is public law, and our implementation uses publicly available tax data. However, our implementation has not been independently certified for accuracy.
Accuracy and limitations
We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that results are correct, complete, or current. Our calculator uses standard deductions and does not account for all factors that may affect a court's determination, including but not limited to: itemized deductions, retirement contributions, health insurance premiums, childcare costs, hardship deductions, or other adjustments under Family Code §§4057–4073.
Tax brackets and statutory tables are updated periodically. There may be a delay between changes in tax law and updates to the Service.
No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Support Split LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Service, including but not limited to financial losses, legal outcomes, or decisions made based on calculator results.
You assume all risk associated with using the Service.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
User conduct
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with the operation of the Service, or to attempt to access data or systems beyond what is made available through normal use.

The Service, including its design, code, text, and branding, is owned by Support Split LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. The underlying child support formula (FC §4055) and tax bracket data are public domain. You may share links to the Service freely. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the Service's code, design, or content without written permission.
